About Me
Salam! My name is Ms. Razana Khan, and I am teaching 7th grade Mathematics and Science this year. I have been teaching for four years and received my bachelors degree in Mathematics Education from the TIME 2000 Math Teaching Program at Queens College, CUNY in 2017. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach in New York, New Jersey, and now Texas.
Outside the classroom, I am a wife and a proud mom to my little boy, Zakariya, who is in Kindergarten this year. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, baking and doing arts and crafts.

Growing up, mathematics was a subject I enjoyed but teaching is my passion. Preparing engaging student driven lessons, thinking of the pedagogical strategies that I want to implement in my instruction, and even making hundreds of copies for my students on a daily basis is a labor of love.
I enjoy learning about my students to gather information about their interests to then incorporate them throughout different components of the lesson. I see students’ faces light up when they read their name associated with their favorite sports team in a math problem. Through student inclusion, I hope to cultivate a classroom culture in which my students feel valued and respected. I want to encourage students to learn with a growth mindset by trying new things, making mistakes, and learning from them. Creating this safe and supportive learning environment is pivotal for effective instruction. I want to ensure students leave my classroom with both knowledge and confidence in their abilities.
