Circumference Lesson Plan
In this lesson on circumference of a circle, students will develop an understanding of how the number π relates to a circle’s diameter and circumference. The lesson will begin with a hands-on activity where students measure circular objects to observe the relationship between circumference and diameter. Students will arrive with the formula by analyzing the pattern from the data they collected from the activity. As a group we will complete model problems and then student will complete independent practice . Lastly student will complete an exit ticket to demonstrate their ability to calculate circumference given different circle dimensions.

Area and Circumference of Circle Independent Practice
The Area of a Circle and Circumference Independent Practice Sheet provides students with problems to apply the formulas A = πr² for area and C = πd or C = 2πr for circumference. Through direct and word problems, students will calculate the area and circumference of circles using given radii, diameters, or related information, reinforcing their understanding and real-world application of these concepts.
